This guide provides information about State resources for urgent needs such as: Food, Unemployment Insurance, ACA signup, Utility Assistance & Eviction Assistance.
Impact NW works with families to make sure they are able to pay their bills during difficult financial times, while connecting them with resources that help them transition out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.
Service description: Provides utility assistance for heating and cooling bills. Funding sources may be able to assist with electric, natural gas, oil, pellets, propane and wood through the following programs:
Human Solutions’ Utility Assistance program provides vital support services for very-low income residents in Portland and East Multnomah County by helping to pay their utility costs.
Multnomah County Energy Assistance Program provides home energy assistance to households with low incomes. The purpose of the program is to supplement home heating and electric costs. The program is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Energy Assistance Services are available for: PGE, Pacific Power, NW Natural Gas*, and heating fuel (oil, wood, and propane) customers on a first come first served basis as scheduled through the appointment line.
