Finding Articles in Databases

When you're looking for articles relating to a specific topic, journal article databases are a good place to begin. Not all individual journal articles are indexed in the catalog. Using one of the recommended databases below will give you more comprehensive results.

What if you have a citation for a journal article (for example, one you found in a book or got from a professor) and want to access the article itself? You'll need to search for the title of the journal in the library catalog to find out if we have access to the journal. Select the option "Reed Library Only" when searching for title of journals. Your search results will include any print or electronic holdings for the journal you need.  If the article you are looking for is not available at Reed, you can request it from Interlibrary loan. ILL is the only way to get articles not available at Reed.
