What is Zotero?

Zotero is a free open-source, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, and share research by:

  • creating citations in different styles (ex. MLA, APA, Chicago, ACS, etc)
  • copying citations into your paper
  • creating and exporting a bibliography

Downloading Zotero

 

Step 1: Start at https://www.zotero.org/download/ or click the image above.

Step 2: Items to install:

  1. Zotero
  2. Browser extensions (for Firefox, Chrome, or Safari)

Step 3: Create a free account with your Reed email address at https://www.zotero.org/user/register to take advantage of features like syncing your library to zotero.org and working in groups.
