Virtual Curating Tips

Tips for Curating in Kunstmatrix

When you're curating a virtual exhibition in Kunstmatrix, you need to consider the technical requirements for using the web-tool. Check out the requirements below before you find or upload your images to Kunstmatrix.

  1. Resolution: images should be a minimum of 72 PPI and can be as high as 300 PPI. Note that Kunstmatrix states that images at 300 PPI will cause longer loading times in the exhibition.
  2. File Formats: Before uploading your images, make sure your they're saved as a JPEG.
  3. File Size: Kunstmatrix has a file size limit of 5 Megabytes (5MB or ~5000KB). You can compress your file size or resize your images. Check the resizing section of this guide for tips on how to resize images.
  4. Image Dimension: Dimension is the size of the actual image measured by pixels and should not be confused with file size. Your images should be set up at a size of 900 to 1500 pixels on the longer side.
