Austronesian: A huge family of languages extending from Madagascar to the Pacific, and including Malagasy (in Madagascar), all the Philippine languages, the indigenous languages of Taiwan, Malay-Indonesian and nearly all the languages of Indonesia and the Pacific (Hawaiian, Fijian, Samoan, and many others).
