Online Research and Resources

This guide provides an overview of how to use the Reed College Library website to find electronic sources for your projects and class assignments.

Ebooks at Reed

Reed’s library owns or subscribes to thousands of eBooks from a variety of publishers and content providers. Some eBooks are available for download to a tablet or other personal devices, while others are more easily viewed on a computer or laptop.  The library provides access to thousands of eBook titles through the Reed Library catalog. For more information, please visit the eBook guide.

Searching for eBooks

Step 1: Many times, research starts with a topic rather than a specific book title. If you know your ebook title, you can type it in. Or you can start with a topic keyword.

Step 2: On the left hand side, under "Refine my results", you can sort by "Reed Online Resources."

Step 3: Once you have the results filtered by "Reed Online Resources," you can limit results even further by selecting "eBooks."

Step 4: Once you select an eBook, you can click on "Online Access" to navigate to the eBook.
