Welcome!
Welcome to the MALS library resource guide. This guide is designed to support your studies in the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program. We are so glad you're here! The library is situated at the heart at the academic experience at Reed. Our librarians are available to help you make the most of your time here and get you connected to the best resources to support you and your educational journey. In this guide, you will find information about current graduate courses, general research recommendations and search strategies. This guide is a living document, meaning it will change and evolve a little bit every year.
Finally, we love hearing from students! If you have ideas for how the library can improve its support of our graduate students, please get in touch using our Ask a Librarian form.
Subject Librarians
Each subject area has a designated librarian who is available for one-on-one consultation. If you choose to write a thesis in History, the History librarian will be a great person to get to know, likewise for Spanish Literature or any of the other subject areas at Reed.
To find the subject librarian for an area, check out the Library Liaisons by Subject list.
