Imaging and Research Help


Creative software and hardware is available for students on-campus looking to work with images, audio, video, and more.

Reed College Library

See Library Computer Information and Locations for available hardware and software. Access a large array of helpful software on the library computers by logging in with your Kerberos ID. Photocopiers are available on Level 1, Level 2, and Lower Level 1. Scanners are also available in the Instructional Media Center.

Instructional Media Center (IMC)

See IMC page for a full list of available hardware and software. Check out cameras, camcorders, drawing tablets, laptops, and more. Take advantage of lab software such as Final Cut X, Adobe Creative Suite, and more.

Performing Arts Resource Center (PARC)

See PARC page for a full list of available hardware and software. Check out mic stands, midi keyboards, iPads, laptops, and more! Take advantage of lab software such as Vectorworks, Ableton Live Suite 10, and more.

Visual Resources Center (VRC)

If you need additional help with scanning, or access to larger bed scanners, visit the Visual Resources Center in L42.

Information Resource Centers (IRC)

The Educational Technology Center (ETC) offers 24/7 student access to the IRCs. There are over 50 Macintosh computers running a variety of academic software. The ETC Help Desk is located outside the IRCs to provide additional support.

Jobs and Internships

Looking for work opportunities or internships?

Handshake is Reed's online database for jobs, internships, and opportunities. Search for on-campus jobs, Portland area jobs, and beyond.

The Center for Life Beyond Reed offers a variety of services and resources and they can help you with your job search, or applying for a grant to cover an unpaid internship. Online Learning Platform offers training on a variety of subjects, from beginner to expert courses. Search by broader skills or specific software and follow along with learning modules.

If you have a Multnomah County library card, you can log in with your credentials. All students living at Reed are eligible for a Multnomah County library card. Just sign up with your Reed address!
