Citation Style for Anthropology

The American Anthropological Association (AAA) Style Guide provides general guidance about creating bibliographies, as well as examples of how to cite specific types of resources.

The AAS Guide uses the Chicago Manual of Style and will refer you to it for some style questions. The Chicago Manual is available at the Reference Desk or online.

Citation Management Software

Zotero is a citation management software that helps organize your research. It can be useful in creating your in-text citations and bibliographies. Many students find it a helpful tool for longer papers and essential when writing your thesis.

To get started with Zotero, see the Zotero guide. Here you will find tips and tricks, as well as instructions to downloading a browser extension.

I am happy to help you in this process. You can also ask for help at the reference desk.
